GDPR as Gaeilge – Léargas ar an Dlí Cosanta Sonraí Nua a bheidh i bhFeidhm go Luath
GDPR As Gaeilge

Tá cur chuige nuálach ag dlíghnólacht William Fry maidir leis an GDPR, an dlí cosanta sonraí nua a bheidh i bhfeidhm i Mí Bhealtaine 2018, de réir mar atá an spriocdháta seo ag druidim orainn.

Mar chuid dá chlár éagsúlachta, tá ócáidí faoi leith á reachtáil ag William Fry chun an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn agus Seachtain na Gaeilge (1 – 17 Márta) a cheiliúradh. Thionscnaigh Roinn Teicneolaíochta William Fry na físeáin seo a chur le chéile trí bhíthín na Gaeilge chun léargas a thabhairt do dhaoine ar an GDPR. Toisc go bhfuil easpa acmhainní dlí ar fáil as Gaeilge, táthar ag súil go mbainfidh lucht gnó na Gaeilge tairbhe as na físeáin.

Tugann na físeáin léargas cuimsitheach ar an GDPR ar bhealach cruthaitheach agus clúdaítear topaicí ar nós "Cad atá i gceist leis an GDPR?", "Cearta Leasaithe" agus "Freagracht". Is cur chuige nuálach é seo ar ábhar atá thar a bheith tráthúil do ghach uile éagraíocht in Éirinn. Ní mór aird a thabhairt ar na físeáin, toisc go mbeidh an GDPR i bhfeidhm go luath.

A Novel Approach to Explaining the Four Letters on Businesses' Lips as May Deadline Approaches

William Fry has rolled out a novel approach to the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as the May 25th deadline for Europe's newest data protection regulation draws closer.

William Fry is staging a number of Irish language events and initiatives throughout the Firm to raise awareness of Seachtain na Gaelige, which runs from 1 to 17 March, and as part of a wider commitment to diversity and inclusion. One such initiative involves a series of explanatory GDPR video shorts in the Irish language, created by the Firm's Technology Department. Given the lack of Irish language legal resources, it is expected that the videos will be welcomed by the Irish-speaking business community.

Covering topics such as "What is GDPR all about?", "Enhanced Rights" and "Accountability", the videos provide insight into GDPR in a creative way. With less than 100 days to go to the GDPR compliance deadline, this is an innovative approach to a topic that is highly relevant to all businesses today, both nation- and Europe-wide.
