WF FT Ranking

William Fry has been judged to be Ireland’s most innovative law firm for legal expertise by the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Report 2019 which was published today.

The ranking was received based on two case studies which drew praise from the judges.  William Fry demonstrated noteworthy innovation in Accessing New Markets and Capital when they advised on the establishment of a new Irish fund investing in leading Asian companies that actively tackle pollution and climate change.  William Fry was also recognized for its innovation in complexity and scale when advising Ballantyne Re plc on its landmark scheme of arrangement to restructure US$1.65bn of debt thereby releasing assets to the senior debt holders and facilitating the solvent liquidation of the company.

Bryan Bourke, William Fry Managing Partner, said, “The FT Innovative Lawyers Report is the benchmark legal rankings in Europe for innovation. William Fry’s commitment to innovation is integral to everything we do.  William Fry is delighted that the Financial Times has recognised our work by ranking us  as the most innovative firm for legal expertise in Ireland.”

Now in its 14th year of publication, the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Report has become one of the top legal rankings in Europe.  All submissions are forensically researched and no entry is shortlisted without a robust client or independent reference. Entries are then benchmarked against each other to arrive at the final rankings. Lawyers are ranked for delivering exceptional value to business.
