Central Bank Publishes Outcome of CP86 Compliance Review

The Central Bank has published the long-anticipated findings of its CP86 implementation compliance review of fund management companies.

In a ‘Dear Chair’ letter issued on 20 October 2020, the Central Bank outlines a series of identified shortcomings along with CP86 compliance expectations in the review’s focus areas of investment management, risk management and organisational effectiveness.

Fund management companies (including self/internally-managed structures) are expected to analyse existing organisational and governance arrangements as against the Central Bank’s review findings and put in place an action plan for any necessary remediation measures by end Q1 2021.

To assist fund management companies, we have prepared an analysis of the Central Bank’s review findings together with commentary on the key issues highlighted and next steps. Please click here or on the image below to download our analysis.
