William Fry Announces Five Senior Appointments

 

William Fry LLP announced the appointment of two new partners across its Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Tax departments and three Consultants across its Professional Development, Employment & Benefits and Real Estate departments.  These senior appointments follow on from the lateral hire of Corporate / M&A partner, Liam Arthur, earlier this year from Proskauer, London and bring the number of partners in the firm to 79. The Firm employs over 480 legal and tax professionals at offices in Dublin, Cork, London, New York, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

Mary Cooney has been appointed as a partner in our Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. Mary specialises in healthcare law and regulation. She has particular expertise in the defence of complex clinical negligence cases, the defence of multi-party product liability claims and advising clients on regulatory compliance within the healthcare sphere.

Anne Tobin has been appointed as a Tax Partner with William Fry Tax Advisors Ltd.  Anne has over 16 years’ experience providing tax advisory services to international financial services companies. She advises clients on a wide range of financial services transactions across all financial services sectors including investment management, structured finance, banking, insurance/reinsurance, etc.

Sinead Kelly has been appointed as a consultant in Professional Development. Sinead is an experienced lawyer with a top-tier background, who leads the firm’s Professional Development team. She is responsible for the professional development of all William Fry employees as part of the firm’s strategic objectives. This appointment further enhances the firm’s commitment to, and investment in, professional development and continuous learning.

Ciara McLoughlin has been appointed as a consultant in the Employment & Benefits Department and specialises in pensions law.  She has a wealth of pensions law experience advising on a range of issues concerning occupational pension schemes, from both the employer and the trustee perspectives.

Ruth Sheridan has been appointed as a consultant in our Real Estate Department and has experience in all types of real estate transactions specialising in the acquisition and disposal of commercial property and lease negotiation.
