Welcome to the October issue of our Legal News
This month we report on a number of recent decisions of the Irish and UK Courts including a High Court decision which explores the willingness of the court to intervene in relation to the conduct of an examiner and a decision by the District Court to order mobile phone operators, eMobile and Meteor, to make donations to charity after the personal data of a number of their customers was compromised following the theft of two unencrypted laptops. We also take a look at new draft legislation which aims to reform existing legislation on anti-corruption and the Revenue Commissioner’s re-enforced stance on the taxation of directors’ fees.
