Budget 2013 was announced on 5 December 2012.  This is the Minister’s second budget and he faced the difficult task of taking €3.5 billion from the Irish economy through a combination of tax raising measures (approx. €1.25 billion) and reductions in spending (approx. €2.25 billion).
