The Government Legislation Programme for the Autumn session has been published.
The Cabinet has approved 30 new bills for priority publication. These include Brexit-related bills such as the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Bill and COVID-19-related bills such as the Personal Insolvency (Amendment (No. 1) Bill and the Credit Union (COVID-19) (Amendment) Bill. The programme identifies 28 bills that are expected to undergo pre-legislative scrutiny. 27 bills are currently before the Oireachtas.
