Rachel is Head of William Fry’s Banking & Financial Services Department. She advises on all aspects of corporate banking and in particular specialises in secured and unsecured lending transactions, senior and mezzanine debt structures, leveraged acquisition finance, fund finance, real estate finance, syndicated loans, loan sale transactions and debt restructuring. She also advises on the regulation and authorisation of entities in the financial sector including credit institutions and payment institutions. She also acts for numerous bidders, purchasers and sellers in relation to the sale of loan and asset portfolios.  Her clients include Irish and international financial institutions, private equity houses and corporates. Rachel has experience working with a large London law firm and in-house with an Irish bank.

Recent significant deals include advising:

  • Hines in connection with the financing of Montrose and Binary Hub students residences
  • Hammerson and Allianz joint venture in connection with its financing of Dundrum Town Centre. 
  • Deutsche Bank, AG in connection with its financing of the Trinseo Group, a global chemical materials solutions provider and manufacturer of plastics 
  • Backpitts Hospitality on the financing and development of the first Aloft Hotel in Dublin
