Shane is Head of William Fry’s Corporate Department. He has been involved in a number of significant acquisitions, joint venture, venture fund, fundraising and take-private transactions on behalf of Irish and international clients (both public and private).

Recent significant transactions include advising:

  • Linde AG on its proposed $70bn merger with US industrial group Praxair Inc 
  • Blue Tree Systems Limited on its sale to Orbcomm Technology Ireland Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of Orbcomm Inc
  • UBS AG, on the sale of its alternative fund services business to Mitsubishi UFS Financial Group
  • the shareholders of Silicon & Software Systems Limited on the sale of its TV Technology division to Accenture
  • VAT IT Group in relation to its acquisition of the VAT Reclaim business of Meridian Global Services
  • Morgan Stanley on its role as Sponsor and Financial Adviser to bookmaker Paddy Power on its all-share merger with UK rival, Betfair and also in relation to the takeover of Yahoo by Verizon
  • the shareholders of Game Sparks Technologies Limited on its acquisition by Inc
  • the shareholders of Jacobs Fruitfield Foods on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Jacob Fruitfield Food Group Limited to Valeo Foods and on their acquisition of a strategic stake in Valeo Food Group Limited
  • Mincon Group plc on it admission to ESM and AIM and its related equity fundraising of €50m
