Brian Duffy

He has over eighteen years’ experience advising clients in tax litigation and controversy matters, tax structuring, inward investment, tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions, real estate tax transactions and personal taxation matters. Brian provides taxation advice to a broad base of clients in various business sectors, including family offices, real estate, insurance, hotels and tourism, mobile telecommunications, venture capital groups, radio and television, private equity and hedge funds. He has particular expertise in advising clients in dealings with tax authorities, tax litigation matters and the preparation of cases before the Tax Appeals Commission and the High Court.

Brian is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and the Irish Taxation Institute and has contributed to many publications.

Brian has consistently been named as one of Ireland’s ‘Tax Controversy Leaders’ by the International Tax Review in their annual publication. He is rated “highly regarded” in the current edition of the Tax Controversy Leaders guide from World Tax in association with International Tax Review.
