Elaine has extensive experience on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, with a particular emphasis on cross-border transactional mergers and acquisitions and private equity and venture capital investments. Elaine worked in Asia from 2016 to 2019 advising on private equity and venture capital fund establishment, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions and complex corporate re-organisations.
Recent transactions include advising:
- Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on the acquisition by its fund, Copenhagen Infrastructure IV K/S, of 50% of Statkraft A/S’ offshore wind portfolio in Ireland
- IBM on the Irish and related international aspects of the sale of its healthcare data and analytics business, Watson Health, to Francisco Partners
- Hazelwood Demesne Limited (owner of the Lough Gill Whiskey Distillery, Co. Sligo) on the sale of its entire issued share capital to The Sazerac Company
- IBM on the Irish aspects of its reorganisation and spinout whereby IBM separated its Managed Infrastructure Services unit of its Global Technology Services division into a new public company called Kyndryl
- J & E Davy (Davy) on the sale of (i) Davy’s wealth management, capital markets and associated businesses to Bank of Ireland, (ii) Davy’s fund management business, Davy Global Fund Management, to IQ-EQ and (iii) Davy’s shareholding in Rize ETF to AssetCo
- Uniphar plc on its IPO in 2019 and on its acquisitions of the Hickey’s Pharmacy Group, Durbin and M3 Medical
