Maura advises domestic and international companies on general employment issues, including employment contracts, employee policies, termination of employment, post-termination restrictions, consultancy contracts, employment issues on business sales and outsourcings, employee share options and other incentives.

Recent significant transactions include advising:

  • Skillsoft plc on the treatment of its employee share options in its takeover by way of scheme of arrangement by SSI Investment
  • IONA Technologies plc on the treatment of its employee share options on the takeover of the company by Progress Software Corporation
  • Kentz Corporation on the establishment of a worldwide share option scheme for its employees
