Paul is a Partner in William Fry’s Litigation & Investigations Department.

Paul Convery

Paul has been instructed on numerous domestic and multi-jurisdictional disputes. He has extensive experience of advising clients where issues arise involving financial litigation, including financial crime litigation, investigations and reputational damage issues. Work as lead advisor has also included ongoing advisory and litigation roles in complex sanctions and derogations applications, advising in respect of a multitude of aviation/transportation insurance disputes, advising high net worth individuals and corporate entities in respect of ongoing shareholder disputes, defamation and conspiracy allegations, representing global banks in misappropriation and fraud proceedings, representing global corporations in technology, data and communications disputes and advising in respect of multi-party competition cartel cases. He is also instructed as an independent expert on behalf of U.S. headquartered global banks.

He is a regular lecturer and published authority on litigation matters. Paul is an invited Fellow of the International Academy of Financial Crime Litigators. He is Vice President of the Commercial Litigation committee of the Union Internationale des Avocats. He is on the ABA International European steering group, is Vice President of the ABA International Litigation committee and is Assistant Editor of the ABA International Dispute Resolution News. He is also the sole Irish Expert of the International Distribution Institute and a member of the London Commercial Litigators’ Forum.
