Ireland For Law: Trade Mission to New York

Fergus Doorly, Restructuring & Insolvency partner will participate in the Ireland for Law Trade Mission to New York City from 3-5 September 2024.

On Thursday, 5th September at 8:00am – 9:30am at JAMS New York, NY Times Building, 620 8th Ave, 34th Floor, New York, NY 10018, Fergus will participate in a panel discussion on Corporate Restructuring & Corporate Insolvency – The Case for US/Irish Cooperation. Panellists include: James Browne (Irish Minister of State for Justice); Rossa Fanning SC (Attorney General); The Honourable Mr Justice David Barniville (President of the High Court of Ireland); Peggy O’Rourke SC (The Bar of Ireland); Imogen McGrath SC (The Bar of Ireland).

This important trade mission is to promote Irish law and the use of Irish legal services. The delegation will be led by the Minister of State James Browne TD; David Barniville, President of the High Court and Rossa Fanning SC, Attorney General of Ireland.

A number of other events will also be held in locations around Manhattan, focussing on:

  • Ireland’s Commercial Court – The case for US/Irish Cooperation.
  • Significant Legal Changes and Precedents In Ireland and New York (In Association with Arbitration Ireland)
  • Financial Services & Structured Finance Transactions – Ireland as a partner for US business
