William Fry has appointed Cormac McGrady as a partner in its market-leading Corporate / M&A department.

As one of Ireland’s largest corporate practices, the team is renowned for its depth of expertise on high-value domestic and cross-border transactions. Cormac’s appointment further strengthens the firm’s capacity to advise on the most sophisticated and complex transactions in the market.

Cormac trained at William Fry and spent two years in its Corporate / M&A department before moving to London where he worked as a private equity lawyer with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, Ropes & Gray and most recently Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Cormac advises private equity sponsors, institutional investors and corporates on complex, cross-border acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, disposals, public-to-private deals, and minority investments. His experience also includes advising on alternative and structured liquidity solutions, including GP-led continuation fund transactions, preferred equity, co-investments, and joint ventures with complex capital structures.
