Brexit And Your Business

After months of fraught negotiations, the EU and UK agreed a Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) on 24 December 2020. The TCA provisionally applies as of 1 January 2021. The TCA and the Withdrawal Agreement, which entered into force on 1 February 2020, are now the principal agreements governing EU-UK relations. The TCA deals with trade in goods; trade in services (to a lesser extent); level playing field; and governance, among other subjects. The Withdrawal Agreement contains the Ireland/Northern Ireland Protocol and also deals with citizens' rights.
