It is reported that the Burlington Hotel, one of Dublin’s landmark hotels, is for sale with a guide price of €65-€75m – a fraction of the €288m price paid for it by property developer Bernard McNamara in 2007. Agent, CBRE Hotels, is handling the sale on the instruction of Paul McCann of Grant Thornton who is the receiver of Burhotel Trading Company Limited. The 4-star hotel – one of Europe’s biggest city centre hotels is by far Dublin’s largest hotel with 501 bedrooms and occupying a 3.8 acre / 1.54 ha site in Dublin 4, the city’s most sought after address.
