Changes to the law of private companies in Ireland are dealt with under Pillar A of the Bill, a draft of which was published by the Minister for Justice, Alan Shatter, in May 2011. The remainder of the Bill (dealing with public companies, unlimited companies, guarantee companies etc.) is not expected to be published until 2012, at which point the entire draft Bill may be formally introduced to the Oireachtas.
In this update, we provide a summary of some of the proposed changes for private companies in the draft Bill. To view this update, please click on the attached pdf.
