Distressed Assets Update - October 2013

October 9, 2013

Welcome to the October issue of our Distressed Assets e-zine. We are pleased to report that there are signs of renewed confidence in the Irish property market. With turnover in the commercial property investment market already reportedly in excess of €1 billion, selling agents are reporting a marked increase in the number of overseas property companies chasing distressed portfolios. Activity for the remainder of 2013 and 2014 looks likely to be considerably increased, with the imminent release of billions of euro worth of IBRC and NAMA assets on to the market. We report on the details of these asset offerings, as well as other distressed asset opportunities such as the Irish Government’s on-going effort to dispose of State assets and commercial and residential property opportunities that are currently on the market.

We hope you find this issue of our Distressed Assets e-zine informative. For further information, please contact our Distressed Assets Group.
