Property Funds a Popular Choice for Investors in Real Estate

Since 2013 a large number of investment funds have been established in Ireland by US and European asset managers for the purpose of investing in Irish and European based real estate assets.

Irish property funds have invested in all types of real estate, development land, debt, special purpose vehicles, mortgage-backed securities and other asset-backed securities.

Notwithstanding recent tax changes, the QIAIF continues to be a very attractive option for investment in real estate assets, whether located in Ireland or elsewhere in Europe. The William Fry investment funds, property and tax departments advise investors on the optimum structure for such real estate assets.

Please contact your usual William Fry team or feel free to engage with any of our key contacts for assistance with matters regarding property funds.
