William Fry launches 'Pensions in Ireland' booklet

May 1, 2009

William Fry’s specialist Pensions Group has recently launched an info-booklet entitled “Pensions in Ireland”. The Pensions in Ireland booklet is a free guide, available on request, which aims to provide an overview of the legislation and related rules and regulations that govern the operation of pensions in the Republic of Ireland.

The booklet provides basic information on pension provision in Ireland, setting out details on a wide range of pensions related issues including:

  • employers’ obligations in relation to pension provision;
  • tax incentives;
  • pension fund investment;
  • options at retirement;
  • pensions issues on separation or divorce; and
  • a glossary of pensions related terms commonly used in Ireland, along with useful contact details.

“Pensions in Ireland” provides a helpful initial reference point for a variety of individuals and organisations including:

  • overseas lawyers and organisations advising overseas employers entering or considering entry to the Irish market;
  • organisations promoting inward investment to Ireland; and
  • those advising on or embarking upon business start-ups in Ireland.

Please refer to one of our key contacts for a copy of the booklet.
