The legislative programme for the forthcoming spring Oireachtas session has been published by the Government Chief Whip, Jack Chambers TD.
The programme includes 32 bills for publication and prioritisation by government. Priority legislation includes:
- Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Bill, to establish the ODCE as an agency known as the Corporate Enforcement Authority;
- Judicial Appointments Commission Bill, to amend the law on judicial appointments;
- Parents’ Leave and Benefit (Amendment) Bill, to amend the law on parental and adoptive leave;
- Consumer Protection (Regulation of Retail Credit Firms) Bill, to extend authorisation for the provision of retail credit
