Adele advises Irish and international clients on complex commercial litigation, regulatory and investigative matters, contentious privacy and data protection issues, and defamation and reputation management. She regularly acts for clients on high‑value and strategically significant disputes and complex regulatory processes. Adele has significant experience advising on sensitive investigations across regulatory and non‑regulatory contexts. Adele is consistently recognised in the Legal 500 for her technical expertise, responsiveness and her thorough, client‑focused approach. Adele regularly presents on regulatory investigations, and technology and data protection issues.
She is an active member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) and is a member of the Steering Group for Dublin International Disputes Week
Recent significant work includes advising:
- Advising Coimisiún na Meán on the defence of multiple sets of High Court judicial review proceedings issued by Reddit, Inc and Tumblr, Inc, X Internet Unlimited Company (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk, X Holdings Corp. and Bytedance.
- Advising regulated institutions and individuals in respect of investigations initiated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Advising multiple defendants in respect of the initiation and defence of defamation proceedings before the Irish High Court.
- Advising an international tech company in relation to the successful defence of two sets of High Court proceedings seeking damages for defamation (including aggravated and exemplary damages), breach of contract, breach of privacy, negligence, breach of duty and for the tort of conspiracy.
- Advising clients that have been subject to cyber and ransomware attacks.
