Louise Harrison is a Partner in William Fry’s Employment & Benefits team.

Louise Harrison

Louise specialises in the employment legal aspects of corporate transactions and in employee share incentives and also has expertise in the applicability of transfer of undertakings law (TUPE).  Louise is also particularly experienced in advising on employment issues for clients in the regulated financial services sector as well as assisting multinationals investing in Ireland.

Recent experience of note includes advising:

  • Employment legal advisor to Grant Thornton Advisors LLC (Grant Thorton Advisors) and New Mountain Capital on their agreement to combine Grant Thornton Advisors with Grant Thornton Ireland’s advisory and tax businesses
  • Advised SAOL Assurance DAC on the employment and regulatory employment aspects of its establishment as an insurance undertaking
  • Advised J&E Davy on all Irish employment law aspects of the acquisition by Bank of Ireland and IQ-EQ respectively of the capital markets and wealth business and the fund management unit of Davy
  • Advising Clayton Dubilier & Rice, the US based private investment firm, on the treatment of employment incentives in its £2.6bn recommended takeover offer for UDG Healthcare plc
  • Advised Nordic Aviation Capital, the world’s largest lessor of regional aircraft, on Irish employment legal matters arising in the context of its restructuring through Chapter 11 in the US
  • International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG) on the treatment of employee share incentives in its €1.4bn acquisition of Aer Lingus Group plc
