The Irish Government actively supports FDI in Ireland and provides state funded grants to businesses looking to establish a presence here. The Industrial Development Authority (“IDA”) is the Government’s FDI agency and provides a wide range of supports (financial, administrative and otherwise).

We maintain strong links with the IDA, other State legal and regulatory agencies and the service provider community in Ireland. This enables us to streamline the process of gathering information and project planning which you and your business may require.

Advised on the €2.5 billion acquisition financing of Energia Group by Ardian , the largest Irish M&A deal announced in 2025. As outlined in William Fry’s M&A Review 2025, this transaction saw Ardian agree to acquire 100% of Energia Group – one of Ireland’s major energy utilities, supplying roughly 17% of the island’s electricity and over 20% of its wind power – from I Squared Capital.
Advised Ardian France SA on the Irish legal aspects of its acquisition of Horizon Home Care (Dovida / Home Instead)
Advised Echelon Data Centres on the strategic investment into the company from Starwood Capital Group.
Advised Grant Thornton Advisors LLC and New Mountain Capital on its combination of Grant Thornton. Advisors with Grant Thornton Ireland’s advisory and tax businesses.
Advised DCC plc on its £1.05bn sale of its healthcare division to HealthCo Investment Limited, a subsidiary of funds managed by Investindustrial Advisors Limited.
Acted as lead counsel to Harvey Performance Company on the acquisition of ATA Precision Tools.
Advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on joint venture with Atlas Renewables and Energex Partners
Advised EQT Private Equity on the acquisition of a majority stake in AMCS
Represented the Republic of Argentina in the successful defence of proceedings issued by the Burford Capital backed Peterson plaintiff group to enforce a $16.1 billion New York law judgment against Argentina. In addition to being the largest debt claim ever brought before the Irish High Court; the New York Judgment is the largest judgment ever rendered by any U.S. court against a sovereign state.
