- The IAIS are planning to introduce a risk-based insurance-capital-standard (“ICS”) for global insurance groups by 2016. It is expected to take until 2019 for the full implementation of the ICS.
- By late-2014, the IAIS are proposing to implement backstop capital-requirements (BCRs), for global, systemically important insurers. Further details can be found in the press release from 9 October 2013.
- The Joint Forum of the BCBS, IOSCO and the IAIS released its final paper on mortgage insurance containing a number of recommendations to deal with potential mortgage insurance stress and failure.
