A legal action brought by Irish developer, Paddy McKillen against Frederick and David Barclay is ongoing before a London High Court. McKillen is seeking to regain control of Coroin Ltd, the company behind London’s Claridges, the Berkeley and the Connaught hotels. McKillen, a 36.2% shareholder in Coroin, is alleging that the Barclays, who acquired £660 million of the company’s debt in late 2011, are seeking to gain control of the company by unlawful means. The case, which commenced on 19 March, is expected to take three weeks.
