It is reported that TPG and Cheyne Capital are negotiating to buy £32m of junior debt, secured against the Woolgate Exchange office building in London, from IBRC. Cheyne and TPF are reportedly buying the loan at half of its face value in the hope of being able to acquire additional senior debt and later sell their interest in the building.

IBRC has reportedly sold a loan of more than USD 200m held against the landmark Apthorp apartment building in Manhattan to Arefin. According to the report, the apartment block was acquired by a subsidiary of Africa-Israel investments and private investor Maurice Mann in 2007 in a deal estimated at $426m.

US Private equity group KSL Capital Partners have reportedly acquired the Belfry Hotel and Golf Resort for an undisclosed sum, believed to be in the region of £90m.  The resort, which comprises a 334-bed hotel and three golf courses, one of which played host to the Ryder Cup 4 times, was previously owned by Sean Quinn junior, who paid in the region of £186m for the course in 2005.

Goldman Sachs, the international investment bank has reportedly joined forces with Australian mortgage company Pepper Home Loans to buy a €600m Irish residential loan book from GE capital. It is reported that the book was once valued at €600m but that Goldman Sachs and Pepper bought it at a steep discount, believed to be in the region of 60%.

It is reported that NAMA has sold a £100m portfolio of UK properties previously owned by property developer Gerry Gannon to a British consortium comprising The William Pears Group and Development Securities. The portfolio, named the Chrome Portfolio, comprises residential and retail property across the UK and reportedly yields a gross annual income of £6,435,080.

Battersea power station in London was reportedly sold for £400m to a consortium led by SP Setia Bhd, Malaysia’s leading property developer.  The four-towered listed London landmark is believed to be redeveloped into homes, offices and shops.
