Ireland boasts a high level of activity across a range of international financial services. The reinsurance sector has been an area of particular growth helped in part by the country’s early implementation of the EU Reinsurance Directive in 2006. Despite the downturn, levels of reinsurance business out of Ireland remain buoyant, with a number of recent new establishments.
