An Taoiseach, Mr. Enda Kenny T.D. had one message for an audience of over 400 lawyers from the American Bar Association, representing 60 countries across the world. Ireland is already on its way back.
Speaking at an event in the Guinness Storehouse, the Taoiseach said that he is confident Ireland will emerge successfully from the EU/IMF plan and outlined how legal reforms and the industry would play a role in this.
He explained how Ireland is reforming its legal system to ensure competitiveness and transparency and talked about plans to establish Dublin as a global centre for arbitration of international commercial disputes.
His final comment was to call on the attendees to go home and tell everyone that Ireland is open for business.
