UCITS IV - Implementation in Ireland - Action to be Taken

December 21, 2010

We will be in further contact with you as matters develop in relation to the implementation of UCITS IV.  We would recommend that consideration be given to:

  • the additional requirements for the organisation of management companies in the context of the “nature, scale and complexity” of the business of the management company/SMIC and any plans which the company may have in relation to the development of its business in the near future;
  • the requirements of the KIID, particularly in the context of existing cross-border registrations and timing.

At William Fry we offer comprehensive advice, support and guidance to clients in relation to the review of organisational requirements for UCITS management companies and SMICs under UCITS IV and planning for the transitioning from the production of simplified prospectuses to KIIDs and the ongoing monitoring of KIIDs.
