William Fry Acts on Greencoat Renewables' €270m Capital Raise and Admission to Trading on the Irish and London Stock Exchanges

William Fry is delighted to have represented Davy and RBC Capital Markets as Joint Bookrunners and, in the case of Davy, as NOMAD and ESM Adviser on Greencoat Renewables’ €270m capital raise and admission to the AIM and ESM markets of the London Stock Exchange and the Irish Stock Exchange. Greencoat Renewables is the first renewable energy infrastructure company to list on the Irish Stock Exchange, and the first euro-denominated renewable energy infrastructure company to list on the London Stock Exchange. Investors include the State’s Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and AIB, which helped finance the company’s seed portfolio, comprising 137 megawatts of wind farm assets in Munster that the company acquired earlier this year from Canada’s Brookfield Renewable Partners.

The William Fry team advising on the transaction was led by Corporate/Equity Capital Markets Partner Mark Talbot, with assistance from Energy & Natural Resources Partner, Fergus Devine, and Corporate Solicitor Gillian Boyle.
