William Fry judged to be Ireland’s Most Innovative Law Firm by the 2015 FT Innovative Lawyers Report

William Fry has been judged to be Ireland’s most innovative law firm and the sixth best innovative European law firm (non-UK) by the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Report which was published today.

The high ranking was awarded to William Fry in recognition of three case studies which drew praise from the judges.  William Fry showed exemplary innovation in Finance by overcoming jurisdictional issues to help create the first Europe-wide clearing house for exchange traded funds; in Dispute Resolution by convincing the Irish courts to consider sharia law; and in Competition by leading an integrated advocacy approach in a “state aid” case that lasted 10 years.

Bryan Bourke, William Fry Managing Partner, said, “The FT Innovative Lawyers Awards are the benchmark legal rankings in Europe for innovation. William Fry’s commitment to innovation is integral to everything we do.  William Fry are delighted that the Financial Times has recognized our work by awarding us the leading ranking for innovation in Ireland .”

Now in its tenth year of publication, the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Report has become one of the top legal rankings in Europe.   All submissions are forensically researched and no entry is shortlisted without a robust client or independent reference. Entries are then benchmarked against each other to arrive at the final rankings. Lawyers are ranked for delivering exceptional value to business.
