The Code of Practice for Employers and Employees on the Prevention and Resolution of Bullying at Work (the “Code”) came into effect on 1 May 2007 and replaced the former “Code of Practice on the Prevention of Workplace Bullying” issued in 2002. The new Code incorporates the rights and duties of employers and employees under the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005 (“the 2005 Act”) regarding bullying and provides guidelines on identifying and preventing bullying in the workplace.
