A revised draft of the Irish regulations implementing FATCA has been issued. To coincide with this, the Revenue Commissioners have also issued a revised draft of their guidance notes on the implementation of FATCA in Ireland. These follow first drafts of the regulations and guidance notes which issued in May 2013.
The regulations implementing FATCA will have an effective date of 1 July 2014. A consultation process between the Revenue Commissioners and industry sectors regarding the draft regulations and guidance notes is ongoing.
