Key provisions of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 have been brought into effect as of 1 October 2010.
The Act deals essentially with three areas:
- Reform of the regulatory structure for financial services;
- A new statutory fitness and probity regime for directors and certain executives of financial services companies; and
- Miscellaneous amendments to existing legislation.
