The Companies Bill was signed into law by the President on 23 December 2014 and has been enacted as the Companies Act 2014. It is expected that the Act will be commenced with effect from 1 June 2015.
The Companies Act 2014 contains a number of significant changes to company law in Ireland including changes to the types of private companies limited by shares. We will shortly be circulating a guide to the main changes but in the meantime, we remain available to assist you with any of your queries on the new legislation.
