We previously reported on the Private Members’ Bill that seeks to render unenforceable upward only rent reviews in pre-28 February 2010 leases. The Bill has now passed all stages of the Seanad, despite Government opposition and it will now proceed to the Dail for consideration. It is thought to be very unlikely that the Bill will be enacted given the Government’s stance.
