William Fry is advising Davy and Credit Suisse as Joint Global Co-ordinators and Bookrunners on Glenveagh Properties plc’s €550m initial public offering and admission to the Irish and London Stock Exchanges. Glenveagh, the first Irish homebuilder to float in two years, has been created through the combination of assets of US private equity firm Oaktree Capital and Kildare-based builder Bridgedale.
The William Fry team acting on the transaction is being led by Corporate Partners Eavan Saunders and Mark Talbot with assistance from Real Estate Partner Lisa McCarthy, Construction & Engineering Partner Bryanna Ryan and Corporate Solicitor Gillian Boyle.
The transaction is the second largest IPO on the Irish Stock Exchange this year and since 2007, following the €3.4bn IPO by the Minister for Finance of a 27% stake in Allied Irish Bank, p.l.c. in June of this year. William Fry also acted on that transaction, advising the Minister for Finance.
