Eavan is a Partner in William Fry’s Corporate Department.  She has extensive corporate experience acting for financial investors, investment banks and large corporate groups with her focus being on cross border and distressed M&A, private equity, leveraged buy-outs, joint ventures, consortium investments and restructurings.  Prior to joining William Fry, Eavan spent 14 years at Ashurst LLP, and was a Senior Corporate Partner for eight years.  During her career in London, Eavan won many awards and accolades including the M&A Deal of the Year at the Lawyer Awards, being rated by Infrastructure Journal as a rising star in Infrastructure, and named a Super Lawyers Rising Star 2013.

Recent significant transactions include:

  • Acting for the sellers including Royal Bank of Scotland, Mount Kellet Capital and OIF on the sale of Jurys Inn to Lonestar for €900m
  • Acting for StayCity Investments of its Shareholder restructuring and fundraising.
  • Acting for J&E Davy on the reverse takeover by Dalata Plc of The Moran and Bewley Group for €455m
  • Acting for a consortium of financial investors including OMERS pension fund and First State Investments on their joint acquisition of the Finnish electricity distribution network for €2.55bn
  • Acting for Grosvenor on various corporate transactions and real estate investments with multiple joint venture partners
  • Acting for AMP on its acquisition of Viridian wind farm assets in Ireland and the related joint venture
  • Acting for Lloyds Bank on the restructuring and the subsequent disposal of the Principal Hayley Hotel Group to Starwood Capital
  • Acting for J.P. Morgan in relation to the purchase by IFM and Manchester Airport of Stansted Airport
