William Fry has announced the appointment of two new Partners: Mary Ward and Naoise Harnett. These appointments are in two key areas of growth for the Firm: Banking & Finance and Insurance & Reinsurance.
Mary Ward is a Partner in William Fry’s Banking & Finance Department. Mary advises on a broad range of banking and asset finance transactions, with a particular focus on aviation finance and structured finance. She also advises banks, funders, and corporates on investment and acquisition finance.
A member of William Fry’s Insurance & Reinsurance Department, Naoise Harnett has specialised in insurance and reinsurance law and regulation both non-life and life. He advises clients such as Banco Santander, AXA Life Europe, AXIS, and Beazley.
The Firm also announced the continuation of Bryan Bourke’s role as Managing Partner for a further three year term. Bryan, who previously was Head of Corporate / M&A in the Firm, has been Managing Partner since 2014.
Seven new Associate appointments have also being made: Kate Harnett and Lucy McCurry in the Corporate / M&A Department, whilst Zara West and Orla Shevlin are promoted in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. In addition, Lisa Griffin takes up an Associate position specialising in Real Estate; Laura Houlihan makes Associate in the Banking & Finance Department, as does Paul Buchanan in the Firm’s Employment & Benefits Department.
