We are delighted to announce that William Fry has been shortlisted in the “Practice of law: Innovation in the Aviation Industry” category at the 2021 FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe for its role in the examinership of Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA and group companies.
Led by Ruairi Rynn, William Fry advised Kieran Wallace of KPMG as examiner of the Norwegian Air companies on the formulation and ultimate approval of the unique schemes of arrangement to restructure the Norwegian Air group. The examinership schemes were some of the most complex and innovative examinership schemes deployed and ultimately approved by the Irish courts since the introduction of the examinership process in 1990.
Since 2006, the FT Innovative Lawyers report and awards has assessed and ranked lawyers on their innovation for clients and in their own businesses. Law firms and in-house legal teams are invited to submit to five broad sections: legal expertise, the business of law, rule of law and access to justice, collaboration and innovative individuals. The awards highlight the best law firms and in-house legal teams driving innovation in the legal sector in Europe, and is hosted by the Financial Times and its research partner, RSG Consulting.
The 2021 virtual ceremony takes place on Thursday, 14 October.
