William Fry Sponsors TCD Law Soc Conference on Women in 21st Century Ireland

William Fry is delighted to sponsor Trinity College Law Society’s Conference on Women in Leadership Conference in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The event, which will consist of both a discussion and Q&A, will examine what it is like to be a leading woman in the 21st century Ireland. This will include an examination of the struggles that each woman has had to overcome in order to get to where they are today and society’s’ changing perception of women in leadership.

Mary Robinson, the first female President of Ireland, will be chairing the panel.

Panellists include Partner in William Fry’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department Lisa Carty; actress, writer and comedian Tara Flynn; disability and fashion activist and contributing editor at Vogue Sinéad Burke; co-founder and CEO of social enterprise FoodCloud Iseult Ward; and Director-General of RTE Dee Forbes.

Panellists will be receiving the Trinity Praeses Elit Award as a recognition of their outstanding contribution to society. “The Trinity Praeses Elit Award is awarded to individuals who have advanced discourse in their line of work, and who have been a source of inspiration for young people everywhere,” says Kate Fahy, auditor of the Trinity Law Society.

The panel will take place on Thursday 28th February in Regent House at 7 pm.
