Lisa is a Partner in William Fry’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, specialising in commercial litigation. Lisa acts and advises in a wide range of commercial cases with particular expertise in contractual disputes, financial services disputes, investment disputes, professional negligence and judicial reviews against public bodies.  Lisa also regularly advises on regulatory matters.

Recent significant work includes advising:

  • Former non-executive director of a credit institution in the first ever Central Bank Inquiry conducted pursuant to its Administrative Sanctions Procedure.
  • Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc in the successful defence of an application by a shareholder under Section 212 of the Companies Act 2014.
  • Poettinger Ireland Limited in the successful defence of an injunction application alleging breach of contract.
  • Alternative Advantage plc in Commercial Court proceedings for the return of over €100m sub-custodied to Bernard Madoff.
  • J&E Davy on its successful, Commercial Court and Supreme Court challenge to a decision by the Financial Services Ombudsman.
  • Regulated financial services providers in relation to investigations by the Central Bank pursuant to its Administrative Sanctions Procedures.

Lisa regularly lectures and tutors to the Law School at the Law Society of Ireland on discovery and  injunctions and authored a chapter on injunctions in a book entitled “Civil Litigation” published by Blackstone Press in association with The Law Society of Ireland.  Lisa is a member of the Litigation Committee of the Law Society of Ireland and a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
