William Fry today announced the appointment of four new Partners across its Corporate / M&A, Tax and Real Estate departments. The appointments come off the back of the key lateral hires of Lyn Brennan, Partner to the Banking & Finance Department in February and Ian Devlin, Head of Pensions in November last year. They also build on several years of continuous growth at the Firm, which now employs almost 500 legal and tax professionals at offices in Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
Carol Eager has been appointed as a Partner in the Firm’s Corporate / M&A Department. Carol’s practice focuses on advising both public and private companies, investment houses and venture capital organisations on a range of corporate law issues, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, private equity and venture capital investments and corporate governance. She is commercial and pragmatic and is the trusted advisor of a variety of Irish and international clients.
Rachel Fox and Declan Lavelle have been appointed as Partners in the Firm’s Tax Department. Rachel is a solicitor and chartered tax advisor and has extensive experience in advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, capital market transactions and corporate reorganisations. She is an active member of William Fry’s Foreign Direct Investment team providing advice to international clients establishing in Ireland, IP structuring and cross-border tax planning. Declan specialises in corporate & international tax matters. He advises multinational and domestic clients on a variety of tax issues including international tax planning, optimising IP and financing structures, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions and other related tax matters.
Conor Treacy has been appointed as a Partner in the Real Estate Department. His clients include international retailers, private equity firms, institutional investors and state bodies. Conor advises on a wide range of property related matters including portfolio management and strategy. He regularly acts for parties in funding, leasing, acquisitions and disposals of commercial property. He is also particularly experienced in advising on the real estate aspects of corporate transactions.
