William Fry aims to make the community in which we work a better place to live and do business. We have a strong history of giving back to the local community through fundraising, donating and volunteering. The Community pillar encompasses support for and collaboration with our designated Charity Partner, pro bono work, skills-based volunteering, fundraising and donations to charitable causes.

William Fry’s Impact in 2018

In 2018, to help us give back to the communities that we live and work in, William Fry partnered with 48 community organisations across Ireland, including Jack & Jill Children's Foundation, National Women's Council and St Andrew's Resource Centre. Through these community links, our employees gave 960 volunteer hours and fundraised €80,834, in addition to company support of €121,151 in cash donations and €148,080 worth of in-kind donations.

Community Charity 2017 - 2019 Jack & Jill

William Fry staff have chosen The Jack & Jill Children's Foundation as our Community Charity 2017-2019. Our support of Jack & Jill will encompass staff volunteering, pro bono and fundraising support in addition to a Firm commitment of €100,000 over three years.

Incognito

We were delighted to support Incognito 2018: A Public Arts Initiative in aid of the Jack & Jill Children's Foundation as part of our 'Making a Difference in the Community' activities.

The event took place in early April at The Solomon Gallery, and was Ireland's largest single-gallery art exhibition with more than 2,000 postcard-size artworks available. The postcards were available to the public buy for €50 - the twist was that no one knew the identity of the artist until after they bought the piece.  Artists who submitted their work this year included Tracey Emin, Richard Gorman, Rhona ByrneMo Kelly, Peter Curling, Anne Marie O’Brien, John Kelly, Mick O’Dea, Anthony Lyttle, Ed Miliano,Dede Gold, and some of our very own staff!

The event raised €95,000 raised which will provide nearly 6,000 nursing hours for Jack & Jill children.
