William Fry’s US offices are located in New York and San Francisco, reflecting our long-standing commitment to US based companies and financial institutions who wish to do business in and through Ireland.

Our US presence provides our US and international client base with timely Irish law and tax advice, and direct access to a full range of expertise across our firm. We have a particular focus on Financial Services, Healthcare and Life Sciences on the East Coast and Technology, Bio-Tech, Retail and Life Sciences and Healthcare, Technology, Media & Communications and Retail & Leisure from our San Francisco office.

The William Fry New York office is led by Lyn Brennan, a Partner within the Firm’s Banking and Finance Department who previously spent a number of years practising in a leading New York law firm.

The San Francisco office is led by Marguerite Leddin, Vice President of Business Development with responsibility for co-ordinating and implementing our growth activities across the United States.

Working across all our offices in the US, London, Dublin and Cork, William Fry has the skills and expertise to ensure that our clients’ businesses  will thrive in the Irish and European markets.

  • Advising Nordic Aviation Capital, the world’s largest lessor of regional aircraft, on all Irish corporate aspects of its restructuring through Chapter 11 in the US
  • Advising Sysxnet Global Solutions on the acquisition of the US based software provider SecureTrust Corporation and on the acquisition of Viking Cloud LLC, a US based cloud company
  • Advising Aceto Corporation on its acquisition of Irish biopharmaceutical company A&C Bio Buffer Limited
  • Advising Amgen Inc on its proposed $28.3 billion acquisition of Horizon Therapeutics plc
  • Advising IBM Corporation on the sale of its IBM Watson Health Business to Francisco Partners Management LP
  • Advising Bank of America on its sale of its regulated custodial business, Bank of America Custodial Services (Ireland) Limited, to Apex Group
  • Advising Clayton Dubilier & Rice on its recommended takeover of UDG Healthcare plc
  • Advising the Skillsoft Group on all Irish corporate and finance aspects of its restructuring through a US Chapter 11 proceedings
