Eibhlin is a Partner in the Banking & Financial Services Department. She advises on all aspects of corporate banking. She specialises in secured and unsecured lending transactions, senior and mezzanine debt structures, asset finance, acquisition finance, property finance, leveraged finance, syndicated loans and debt restructuring. She acts for Irish and international financial institutions, corporates and borrowers.
Relevant experience includes:
- Advising the Barclay Brothers in relation to their proposed acquisition of the “Project Pebble” loan portfolio, comprising Patrick McKillen’s IBRC loans, including advising as to various strategic enforcement options.
- Advising Afilias Limited in relation to a US$80m multicurrency revolving facility which was made available by Barclays Bank PLC and HSBC Bank plc.
- Advising Fitch on its rating of the establishment of an Irish residential mortgage backed securitisation valued at €500m by Permanent TSB plc. This was the first publicly placed new issue of residential mortgage backed securities by an Irish bank since 2007 and the first by Permanent TSB since 2006.
- Advising Forest Laboratories Inc. on its bid for Elan Corporation.
- Advising Digital Realty Trust, (a leading global provider of data centre solutions), in connection with the expansion of its global revolving credit facility to US$1.8bn
